Description
A residency is a self-organised mini-conference with ten attendees or less that are interested and active in a specific topic or area. Each residenty typically includes a few organized excursions and hikes around the island, but we leave significant amount of time and space for self-organized activity, discussions, skill shares, games, sauna — everything that facilitates creative serendipity and connection between the attendees.
This residency welcomes those that practice traditional and innovative plant medicine.

We believe in the power of unplanned connections. While some activities will be organized, much of your time here will be open for organic discovery.

How to join our events
Apply
1.
Select the event you would like to attend, click “Want to apply” and fill out a short questionnaire. Wait for an email with payment instructions.
Pay
2.
Within 5 days, pay a 50% deposit to hold your spot. Make travel arragements.
Follow

Look for an invitation for joining our whatsapp group chat where all additional details will be discussed in the time leading up to the event.
Accomodation
Comfortable nature-based co-living with a community of like-minded people.
Single and shared rooms.
A variety of workspaces with fast, reliable internet connections.
One hectare of traditional fruit garden, young permaculture food forest and vegetable garden.
Sauna and cold plunge.
10 minute walk from local hot springs, 15 minute drive from a black sand Atlantic ocean beach.
Organic meals with vegan and vegetarian options, twice per day (breakfast and lunch). Prepared with love, attention, and care from locally-sourced ingredients (some from our own gardens).
Dinners are self-organized by the participants and restaurant options are available within walking distance. One of two kitchen always remains available for guests.
Logistics
Location: Furnas, Sao Miguel, Azores (fly into Ponta Delgada, with direct flights from New York and Boston).
Transportation: You’re responsible for airfare and transportation to and from the airport. Taxi ride costs 45 euro one way. We can assist in organizing shared rides if needed.
